Dictation that is designated for processing by OSi is routed electronically and securely from your facility to OSi's Xpress Data Center. Here, it can be processed as traditional dictation/transcription or routed through our speech recognition engines, for conversion to text which is then edited/formatted and corrected (if needed).

Within OSi's Xpress transcription network, speech recognition and traditional transcription are managed side by side with full visibility for administrators.

OSI leverages industry-proven dictation/transcription software to orchestrate the exchange of voice, text, and data through the OSi Xpress Transcription Network, and then return it, just as effectively, to the healthcare facility.

Speech Recognition
It is generally thought that the migration to speech recognition will be gradual and the role of the medical transcriptionist will evolve to that of a medical editor. At OSi we offer editing of text generated through speech recognition at a reduced rate. Additionally, we're capable of editing reports created by your speech recognition systems.

Workflow Monitoring
Each client has access to OSi Xpress which provides complete productivity tracking tools, with online access to all transcription activity from dictation through report completion and delivery.

Document Delivery
OSi Xpress Transcription Network supports all of the latest report delivery methodologies including: on-site printing, faxing, or e-mail delivery, HL7 upload & download, ADT demographic transfer, report reconciliation, etc.

In addition, we can develop a customized interface with either your own in-house system, or we can install one of the numerous previously-developed and existing interfaces with some of the major systems such as SoftMed, HBOC, MediTech, SMS, Cerner, Affinity, etc.
