OSi received an Industry Service Award (Employer of the Year)
from the Florida Association of Medical Transcription on May 14, 2005. An excerpt from the award is listed below:
Impression of why OSi is deserving of this year’s FAMT Industry Award. Since being developed in 1999, this nationwide company has developed a caring and comfortable relationship with MTs. OSi uses a well-tested mentoring program to develop recent MT graduates and interns into productive medical transcriptionists, to build pride for both the MT and the company. OSi offers opportunities for increasing production with emphasis on pride and professionalism by providing ongoing training and communication with MTs through emails, training conference calls, a website and an internal newsletter. OSi encourages membership and participation in AAMT and local components, and recognizes certification as an important step for the MT professional. Currently, there is an on-line study group for certification in which at least 70 transcriptionists are participating! OSi consistently supports FAMT and AAMT through visibility with advertising and vending; in return, we at FAMT would like to present OSi this year with our esteemed 2005 FAMT Industry Award!
